Modelling Tools
- Hydrodynamic Models
- Hydrodynamic models represent movement of water and heat in oceans and coastal seas and it is these physical properties that play an extremely important role in determining the nature of marine ecosystems.
- Biogeochemcial Models
- Biogeochemical models are a mathematical representation of the interactions between chemical and biological components of an ecosystem.
- Higher Trophic Level Models
- Size based or size structured models represent the biological ecosystem component. They are constructed on the general principle that larger organisms eat smaller organisms.
